Can I speak in Hindi???
This one simple line hit me hard during a casual meeting yesterday.
It wasn’t a formal discussion just a chill session where everyone was sharing their opinions.
People were speaking in English, some were mixing both.
And then, suddenly one guy politely said:
May I speak in Hindi?
That moment made me stop and think.
We live in a country where Hindi is our first language, and yet — we feel the need to take permission to speak it?
Yes, I agree. Knowing English opens many doors for us I believe in that.
But kya iska matlab ye hai ki hum apni primary language bhool jaye?
Why do we feel confident only when we speak a foreign language?
Why do we promote foreign products and mindsets more than our own?
This post isn’t against growth, English, or global exposure.
It’s just a reminder:
📍 Don’t let Modern mean Forgetting your own.
📍 Respect your language, your identity, your values.
📍 Because global impact starts with local pride!!
Let’s reflect —
Are we giving the same respect to our own language, our products, and our culture,
as we give to things from outside our country?
